The Lagos State Government (LASG) has informed its residents to verify and ask questions before they buy or rent houses in the state.
According to the General Manager of Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), Mr. Kehinde Osinaike in a statement issued today, he noted that as the yuletide season approaches, most Nigerians arrive in the country (more often Lagos) to purchase properties.
Consequently, Mr. Osinaike advised them to do their due diligence before they buy any property.
“As we approach the December festive period that most Nigerians come back into the country, especially Lagos to get properties or develop their existing land, citizens should make sure the house they want to rent or buy has building approval and also those who intend to develop their sites, should get building permit before starting,” he disclosed.
Osinaike also urged those in need of building permit to visit any of LASPPPA nearest offices in all the Local Government Areas (LGAs) or the headquarters at Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja GRA opposite Soho Petrol Station.
